Shihad Rock The House!

Popular band that originated in New Zealand, Shihad attracted a full-house of excited fans on a cold winter’s night in Sydney, along with support acts Calling All Cars and Young & Restless for ‘The Beautiful Machine’ Australian tour.

Well-known for their alternative punk-rock sound and high-energy live shows, the boys from Shihad definitely delivered from the get-go; as soon as the lights dimmed, the crowd cheered and they appeared on stage. Frontman Jon Toogood instantly cruised into It’s All The Same, bringing even the more sedate fans in the crowd to their feet. After welcoming the crowd and thanking them for their support they continued with My Mind’s Sedate, whilst talented guitarist Phil Knight showed off his great skills with the more sedate Chameleon.

Toogood constantly thanked and praised the crowd which helped to create a good vibe in the room – throughout the show the crowd uncontrollably exploded with excitement in the mosh. A mix of great tracks followed including Run, The Metal Song and Won’t You Comfort Me with Toogood constantly jumping about the stage and finally climbing atop of the amplifier for the finale, Home Again. A real explosive night of rock!
